Continuing our series of feedback from the outreach work our church family got involved with over the summer 2018 this time we learn about what went on for the Exodus team sent to Romania. Over to Andrew …
This summer, Anna and I traveled to the Exodus centre in Sutor, Romania from 24th – 30th July. This team was slightly different to any I had done in the past as we met with 3 other teams from across Europe.
The week was challenging but refreshing as we learned from other Christians living in different cultures and circumstances. Some of the things we were involved with were;
-a ‘bush camp experience’ where we were challenged to understand what life is like for those living in third world countries
-a ‘shepherd experience’ where we followed a Romanian shepherd and his flock of sheep. This was a provoking time as we studied passages on God being the Good shepherd.
-ministry to the gypsies and local communities surrounding the centre.
-teaching and small group discussion time which I personally love the most on team.
This was the first time Anna and I got to serve together which was good and hopefully it’s not the last!
