As Easter week approaches our hearts and minds turn towards Jesus’ final days of
ministry, His obedience to death on the cross.
“When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to
Jerusalem.” Luke 9:51
We will take the journey again with Jesus: the triumphant entry, fickle crowd, plotting
Pharisees, costly anointing, last supper, passionate prayer, betrayal kiss, mockery
trial, cruel crucifixion, guarded burial, and glorious resurrection.
As generations of believers before us, we are encouraged to abide in Christ as we
read again, remember with thanksgiving and meditate on what Jesus said to His
disciples at the end of that week;
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that
bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5.
Please join us on this journey.

On Palm Sunday we will be concluding our journey through the “I Am” sayings in
John’s Gospel thinking about Jesus promise to us “Where I am there will my servant
be also.”
We will be joined by Carryduff Presbyterian Church as we host a very special event
on Easter Wednesday, 28th March at 8pm. Rev Owen Patterson from Downpatrick
Presbyterian Church will share his testimony and Steve Johnston will lead our praise.
This will be a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbours to an event this
Easter.

As we remember the events of Good Friday we will be joining with Carryduff
Presbyterian Church at 8pm to celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Our youth leaders are organising a special event on Easter Saturday (6pm till
midnight)called “Trinity Unplugged.” It will be an acoustic cafe and event for all
teenagers.
