Here’s our first blog post highlighting the work and ministry of our mission partners @ Trinity. First up – Alan and Dorothy Graham of Zimbabwe Orphan Care. More info on their website: click here
“Alan & Dorothy Graham are originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. In the year 2000 they left the comfort of NI with a desire to help orphaned children and abandoned babies in the Harare area.
Challenged by the words “what disturbs you ” and after encountering many children with great needs and difficulties they decided to set up Jabulani Kids Home to try and help some of the poorest and neediest. Since then they have been seeking to partner with others who share God’s heart for the many broken lives in Zimbabwe, who together can help alleviate suffering for many children through offering a hope, a home and a future to those in need.
Zimbabwe is among one of the poorest countries in the world with very high unemployment and HIV & Aids having wiped out almost a whole generation. The task at times can seem overwhelming but we hold onto the words of Jesus, “As much as you did it for the least of these, you did it onto me ” Matthew 25:40.
Jabulani is unlike any other children’s home in Zimbabwe or even Africa due to the care, love and attention every individual child gets each and every day.
Today there are 12 children in Jabulani, Kuda, Grace, Hope, Blessing, Daniel, Joseph, Faith, Joshua, Esther, Sarah, Hannah and Abigail who have been given a second chance at life and are part of the Jabulani family.”
