Trinity Presbyterian, Boardmills has always been home for me.  Growing up in the different organisations I leaned from I was no age that I needed to trust in the Lord Jesus as my personal Saviour, but it wasn’t until I was 13 years old that I did that. At 16 I was introduced to Child Evangelism Fellowship when I attended their Summer Outreach Training Course, and so began a relationship that has lasted over 30 years!  In 2002 the Lord challenged me about leaving employment and serving Him within CEF, and so I left Ulster Bank and was accepted by CEF as a full time worker.  I spent 10 years in the Youth Challenge team and in 2012 was appointed to lead the Education Department.

Basically I’m involved in training others how to teach children the Word of God, whether that’s in developing a ministry, or reaching children with the Gospel or teaching Christian children how to grow in their faith.  In CEF we have various courses that I’m involved in teaching throughout Ireland and in Europe too.  I also work with churches in training Sunday School teachers and children’s and youth workers, and with other mission agencies and organisations.

CEF of Ireland’s mission statement is “Every child, every county, every day”.  We want every child in every county in Ireland to hear the Gospel, and to come to the point where they put their trust in the Lord Jesus, and then to spend every day in God’s Word.  One of the ways that this can happen is through training – training people how to teach children effectively, especially children who have no contact with the Gospel, through a Good News Club or a 5-Day Club or a Holiday Bible Club.

More information on CEF Ireland can be found on their website

Please pray for me as a travel many miles to train others.  Pray that those I train will see the need of children who know nothing of God and His love for them, and will want to reach them with the Gospel.
