Barnabas Fund directs its aid to Christians, although its benefits are not exclusive to them. We aim most of our aid at Christians who live in countries where they are in the minority and
where they may be at risk of, or are actually experiencing, persecution. We send funds from Christians through Christians to Christians who are in need. Therefore we do not send people, we only send financial support. We channel donations through our partners and existing structures in the countries where funds are needed, e.g. via local churches or trusted Christian organisations.
We fund aid projects which have been developed by local Christians in their own communities, countries or regions. We consider any request for help, however small. We act as equal partners with our brothers and sisters in the persecuted Church. Their leaders often help shape the overall direction of the aid and resources we provide.

Our mission is to support persecuted Christians, to be their voice by making their needs known to Christians around the world, and by bringing the injustice of their persecution to the attention of governments and international bodies.
