As we enjoy this season of spring with buds, greenery, and flowers all bursting forth, it causes us to
give thanks, for the beauty of God’s wonderful creation. We trust everyone is keeping well and as
the restrictions are gradually lifting, we hope you are enjoying those things you have missed doing
and spending more time with family and friends.
This will be our last devotional for this session and it comes in the form of a letter. May it be a
blessing and lift your heart to the Lord.
Thank you to all who have given so generously to the Gift Offering, just over £700 was contributed
and will be of great help to those we support. Back in March, over zoom, Heather McCracken, a
deaconess working with Belfast Health & Social Care Trust told us of the very valuable work she is
involved in. A monetary gift and products from ‘the body shop’ (our thanks to Trish for arranging
this) was given to Heather for the work she undertakes.
Shortly, we will be planning a new session, although it is unclear, how it will unfold we do wish to
mark our 60 th Anniversary and we will keep you informed of our thoughts and plans.
May God bless you and keep you …
LETTER TO YOU :
My dear daughter,
I wanted to write a note to you to let you know that I’m thinking of you.
In fact, I’ve been thinking of you since even before you were conceived.
(Jeremiah 1:4-5). You may not realise it, but I know everything about you
(Psalm 139:1). In fact, I determined the exact time of your birth and
where you would live (Acts 17:26). You are fearfully and wonderfully
made (Psalm 139:14) for you were made in my image (Genesis 1:27).
You are my daughter (Acts 17:28) and I love you with an everlasting love
As you read these words, I want you then to sink into your being that I
love you and to know that it is my desire to lavish my love on you simply
because I am your Father, and you are my child (1John 3:1). You are my
treasured possession (Exodus 19:5). I want to show you great and
marvellous things (Jeremiah 32:41) as my plan for your future has
always been filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
I am your perfect Father (Matthew 5:48) and I offer you more than your
earthly father ever could (Matthew 7:11). In fact, every good gift you
receive comes from my hand (James 1:17). I know that sometimes
things are difficult, but I want you to know that when you feel down, I am
close to you. (Psalm 34:18).
My daughter, if you seek me with all your heart, you will find me
(Deuteronomy 4:29). I delight in you (Psalm 149:4). You often don’t
realise that I am able to do more for you than you could possibly
imagine (Ephesians 3: 20-21). Even when you are feeling helpless, I can
make you stronger than you thought you could ever be. (2Corinthians
I am your Father and I love you even as I love my son Jesus (John
17:26). Jesus’ death was the ultimate expression of my love for you
(1John 4:10). I gave up everything that I loved that I might gain your love
(Romans 8:31-32). Jesus died that you and I could be reconciled
(2Corthinians 5:18-19). If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you
receive me (1John2:23) and nothing will ever separate you from my love
again (Romans 8:38-39).
I am the Father you’ve been looking for all your life….. Will you be my
child (John 1:12-13)? I am waiting for you (Luke 15:11-24).
With all my love,
Your Heavenly Father,
