Thank you.

I would like to start by thanking you for your continued support and prayers both for myself as I continue on my ministry training journey and also for Victoria and I as we begin married life together.

Following my summer placement in Annalong Presbyterian, I have returned to college for second year. This year has been a busy one so far with plenty of assignments to keep on top of alongside the dreaded Hebrew and Greek.

The modules I am studying this semester include Irish Church History, tracing the history of Christianity on this island from the time of St. Patrick through to the Reformation and right up to more recent history within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This semester also includes a module called Reformation Theology: Past, Present and Future seeing how the Reformation and the theology of the Reformers impacts our thinking and ministry. Alongside these we also have a module on mission and weekly classes on preaching.

I am settling into life in the foreign Kingdom of Mourne and beginning to adapt to the commute to college each day. Alongside college, I have had many opportunities to share God’s word in various congregations. Life has changed this summer and many more changes await in our journey of ministry but I am very grateful to call Trinity Boardmills my home and for the church family I have there.

You are very much in our prayers and we would value your prayers as we navigate married life, employment, study and begin to think about what the future holds for us.

In the new year, I will learn of the congregation I will serve as a 3- year assistant and would value your prayers for that.

All for His glory,

Ellis
